The ESCAV System is an automated, close loop flow back fluid treatment system. It ensures zero H2S (hydrogen sulphide) is discharged on surface. By mitigating H2S on surface, personnel are not at risk due to process upsets and the fluid can be stored safely. The ESCAV System is an add-on to any testing package whether it is used for well testing, decompletions, drainage of pipelines, emptying slug catchers etc.
The ESCAV system optimizes chemical treatment and safeguards against H2S fluctuations by real time automated sampling, testing and instantaneous feedback to the dosing pumps. It also reduces residence time for the chemicals to condition the fluid.
In 2019/2020, EI-TECH provided the ESCAV system to an operator in GCC in collaboration with one of the leading global Well Testing Services Provider. Our scope consisted of Secondary Separation, Chemical Optimization and H2S treatment for both water and oil streams with below objectives:

- Separate Oil and Water – to recover and transport all the oil.
- Reduce H2S < 10PPM in the Oil and Water Phase. All oil was recovered and transported, while water was discharged safely at site.
- Ensure Reid Vapor Pressure < 9psig at 38 C for safe transportation.
In addition to the H2S treatment, the ESCAV system can also condition the fluid by:
1. – Viscosity Reduction.
2. – Breaking of Emulsions.
3. – Fluid Neutralization.
4. – Gas Hydrate Treatment.
The fluid conditioning is done as per client requirement.
